A Call To Greater Service: Ukodhiko Honoured As Distinguished Alumnus At UNIBEN
The Member representing Isoko Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Pastor Jonathan Ukodhiko, has expressed profound gratitude to the University of Benin Alumni Association following his conferment with the prestigious Distinguished Alumnus (DA) award at the institution’s 2025 Global Homecoming ceremony.
In a statement celebrating the honour, Ukodhiko described the recognition as both “a privilege and a call to greater service.”
He praised the University of Benin as an institution of high repute, lauding its long-standing tradition of academic excellence, moral discipline, and the grooming of individuals who continue to excel nationally and globally.
He commended the Alumni Association for sustaining these values through its various initiatives, which he said foster unity, excellence, and meaningful engagement among graduates of the university.
“I am sincerely humbled and honoured to be found worthy of the Distinguished Alumnus award,” Ukodhiko said.
“This recognition inspires renewed commitment to the advancement of our alma mater, the alumni community, and our beloved nation.”
The lawmaker also extended heartfelt appreciation to his wife, friends, and kinsmen who joined him in Benin City for the ceremony, as well as those who celebrated with him from afar.
“To all who shared this moment of joy with me, God bless you,” he added.
Ukodhiko congratulated his fellow awardees, wishing them a memorable and fulfilling celebration as part of the university’s 2025 Homecoming festivities.
